On November 6 local time, President Xi Jinping arrived in Singapore and started his state visit to the country.

At about 5: 30 pm local time, Xi Jinping's special plane arrived at Changi International Airport of Singapore. Xi Jinping and his wife Mme. Peng Liyuan were warmly greeted by senior officials of the Singaporean government at the airport .

Xi Jinping extended his sincere greetings and best wishes to the Singaporean government and people. He pointed out that China and Singapore are close and friendly neighbors. Since the establishment of the diplomatic relations 25 years ago, the two countries have maintained a good tradition of high-level exchanges, and the bilateral cooperation in various sectors is continuously deepening and expanding with fruitful results. The sound development of China-Singapore relations has brought benefits to the two countries and peoples, and made positive contributions to regional peace, stability and prosperity. I look forward to exchanging in-depth views with President Tony Tan Keng Yam and Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong on bilateral relations and international and regional topics of common interest during this visit, jointly planning the future development of China-Singapore relations and pushing bilateral relations for greater development at a new historical starting point.

Wang Huning, Li Zhanshu, Yang Jiechi and other delegation members arrived by the same plane.

H.E. Chen Xiaodong, Chinese Ambassador to Singapore, also greeted them at the airport.
