President Xi Jinping Arrives California for China-US Presidential Meeting with President Barack Obama

On June 6, 2013, President Xi Jinping arrived in California State of the United States of America. He will hold China-US presidential meeting with US President Barack Obama on June 7 and 8 at Sunnylands, the Walter and Leonore Annenberg Estate.

Around 6: 15 p.m. June 6 local time, Xi Jinping's arrived by special plane at Ontario International Airport in California. Xi Jinping and his wife Mme. Peng Liyuan were greeted by California Governor Edmund G. Brown Jr. and Mrs Brown as well as Los Angeles Mayor Antonio R. Villaraigosa and Mrs Villaraigosa.

Xi Jinping will have an extensive and in-depth exchange of views with Obama on bilateral relations as well as international and regional issues of mutual interest. It will be the first China-US presidential meeting since the new governments of the two countries took office.

Wang Huning, Li Zhanshu and Yang Jiechi, along with all delegation members, arrived by the same plane.

H.E. Cui Tiankai, Chinese Ambassador to the United States, as well greeted at the airport.

Xi Jinping arrived in California State from Merida by special plane after the conclusion of his state visit to Mexico. Upon his departure from Merida, Mexican Foreign Minister Jose Antonio Meade Kuribrena and others saw off at the airport.
