Xi Jinping and His Wife Mme. Peng Liyuan Meet with US President Obama

On June 8, 2013, Chinese President Xi Jinping and his wife Mme. Peng Liyuan met with US President Barack Obama at the Annenberg Estate in California. The two sides had a warm and friendly talk.

The two heads of state agreed that the China-U.S. Presidential meeting this time is a great success. Both sides will make joint efforts to keep contacts, put into practice the consensus and achievements made during the meetings and push forward the continuous development of China-US relations.

Xi Jinping and Peng Liyuan thanked Obama and the U.S. side for their warm reception and considerate arrangements for the meeting.

Obama also conveyed the greetings of his wife Michelle to Peng Liyuan and presented her the welcome letter in Michelle's own handwriting. In the letter, Michelle wishes that Peng Liyuan enjoys her visit in the U.S. and expresses that she is looking forward to visiting China together with her daughters in the near future.
