On 18th May, 2022, H.E. Yu Hong, Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Brunei Darussalam attended the opening ceremony of China Cultural Paradise-Camp of Asia virtually and delivered the remarks. Mr. Lin Hongyu, Vice President of Huaqiao University, Mr. Xiong Sheng, Education Counsellor of the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in the Republic of the Philippines,, Mr. Ong Tiong Oh, Chairman of the Board of Chung Hwa Middle School, BSB, Mr. Chin Kim Min, Chairman of the Board of Chung Ching Middle School, Seria, Mr. Tan Yong Kui, Executive Chairman of the Board of Chung Hua Middle, KB, Mr. Henry Lim Bon Liong, President of Federation of Filipino-Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry, and more than 220 students from chinese schools in Brunei and the Philippines also participated.

Chinese Culture Paradise-Camp of Asia is sponsored by China Overseas Friendship Association, organized by Huaqiao University, and co-organized by Chung Hwa Middle School, BSB, Chung Hua Middle School, KB and Chung Ching Middle School, Seria of Brunei and Philippine Association for Chinese Studies, and there will be 316 students from 37 Chinese schools in Brunei and the Philippines involved. The camp will last for 12 days, and take five modules of courses such as Chinese culture, language, scenery and characteristics with a special course of “Puppet Skills-the Intangible Culture Heritage of China”, which will help students to further know and understand China, and experience the beauty of Chinese culture.
