Chinese Ambassador to Zambia Du Xiaohui Visits Muchinga Province

From August 2 to 3, Ambassador Du Xiaohui visited Muchinga Province of Zambia.

When meeting with Provincial Minister Henry Sikazwe, Ambassador Du said that Muchinga Province has an important strategic position and great potential for development. TAZARA has witnessed the traditional friendship between China and Zambia, and the China-aided projects have benefited the local people. China is willing to continue to strengthen practical cooperation between the two countries.

Provincial Minister Sikazwe said that Zambia and China are brothers, and should work together to deepen the friendship continuously. Muchinga Province will further optimize the business environment and attract more Chinese investment.

When paying a courtesy call on Senior Chief Nkula of the Bemba people, Ambassador Du said that China is willing to strengthen exchanges with Zambia and promote people-to-people connectivity. The Senior Chief thanked China for the long-term support and expressed his willingness to facilitate Chinese investment.

During the visit, Ambassador Du held a meeting with the representatives of Chinese enterprises and went to the CSCEC T2 road project site to survey the implementation of the project.

Ambassador Du also had a brief exchange-of-views with Mpika District Commissioner and the director of TAZARA Mpika Branch, visited Mpika Station and workshops together.
