Ambassador to the Republic of Belarus Cui Qiming Presents His Credentials to President Alexander Grigorievich Lukashenko of Belarus

On May 13, 2014, H.E. Cui Qiming, the newly-appointed Chinese Ambassador to the Republic of Belarus presented his credentials to President Alexander Grigorievich Lukashenko of Belarus at the Presidential Palace.

President Lukashenko welcomed Ambassador Cui on his assumption of office in the Republic of Belarus, and asked Ambassador Cui to convey his sincere greetings and best wishes to President Xi Jinping. Lukashenko said that cooperation between Belarus and China is by nature a comprehensive strategic partnership and that Belarus has received assistance from great China in all fields. Belarus has high expectations for the further strengthening of cooperation with China, and is willing to deepen the bilateral cooperation in investment and other fields.

Ambassador Cui Qiming conveyed President Xi Jinping's warm greetings and best wishes to President Lukashenko. He said that China attaches great importance to the development of China-Belarus friendship and cooperation. He added that the development of China-Belarus relations not only protects effectively the common interests of both countries, but also makes important contributions to promoting the world peace and stability. Ambassador Cui said that during his tenure, he will make every effort to accomplish his mission and endeavor to promote and deepen the development of China-Belarus comprehensive strategic partnership.

Ambassador Cui Qiming and his wife arrived in Belarus on January 29, 2014 to take office. He presented the copy of his credentials to Foreign Minister Vladimir Makei of Belarus on February 7.
