Chinese Embassy Holds Function Paying Tribute to Martyrs Fallen in Rwanda

On September 30th, 2018, China's Fifth Martyrs' Day, the Chinese Embassy in Rwanda held a Memorial Function at the Rulindo Chinese Martyrs' Cemetery located in the North Province of Rwanda. Representatives of Chinese companies and Chinese community in Rwanda, and journalists participated in the function.

Ms. Xing YuchunCharged'affairesa.i. of Chinese Embassy made remarks, she said since the establishment of the diplomatic relationship between China and Rwanda, many Chinese experts and workers came here, made great contribution for the social and economic development of local community. In this cemetery, ten Chinese people rest here and became the guardian for the country they love and the ambassadors of the friendship between two countries. Their sacrifice represents the faith, courage, hard-working and indomitable spirit of the Chinese people in Rwanda, and the symbol of the profound friendship between the Chinese and Rwandan peoples.

Charge d'affairesa.i. Ms. Xing Yuchun and Mr. Li Jianbo, representative of Chinese companies jointly laid a basket of flower at the Monument to the Chinese Martyrs in Rwanda. People at present said they will follow the spirit of Martyrs, continue to make contributions for the social and economic development of Rwanda as well as the friendship between China and Rwanda.
