On September 24, 2021, Assistant Foreign Minister Deng Li attended the National Day and Army Day reception held by the Slovak Embassy in China upon invitation and exchanged views on bilateral relations and other issues with Slovak Ambassador to China Dusan Bella during the reception.

Deng Li expressed his congratulations on Slovakia's National Day and said that China and Slovakia enjoy a traditional friendship. The two countries have achieved considerable progress in all-round cooperation since the establishment of diplomatic ties. China attaches importance to China-Slovakia relations and is ready to work with Slovakia to uphold the philosophy of mutual respect, equality and mutual benefit and win-win results, enhance dialogue and communication, and promote practical cooperation, to facilitate the sound and stable development of China-Slovakia and China-Europe relations.

Dusan Bella said that Slovakia attaches great importance to its relations with China and looks forward to further deepening its cooperation with China in various fields, such as economy and trade, high-tech industries, and green development.
