On December 22, 2021, Vice Foreign Minister Le Yucheng and Belarusian Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Nikolai Borisevich held video consultations between Chinese and Belarusian Foreign Ministries. The two sides exchanged views on bilateral relations, high-level exchanges, practical cooperation, and international and regional issues of common concern.

Le Yucheng said, since the establishment of diplomatic relations, China-Belarus relations have been running at a high level, the two sides have maintained close high-level exchanges, and cooperation in various fields has achieved fruitful results. In recent years, the bilateral trade between China and Belarus has bucked the trend and kept growing, and the two countries' joint fight against the pandemic demonstrates the deep friendship of sharing weal and woe. No matter how the international and regional situation changes, China will work with Belarus to always be good brothers, good partners and good friends. The two sides should take the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations next year as an opportunity to increase mutual support, deepen mutually beneficial cooperation, practice true multilateralism, safeguard the common interests of the two countries, promote the common development and revitalization of China and Belarus, and build a community with a shared future for mankind.

Borisevich extended congratulations on the successful convening of the sixth plenary session of the 19th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China. He said that Belarus-China relations have withstood the test of time and changes in the external environment and played an important role in safeguarding the core interests of the two countries. Belarus attaches great importance to and stays firmly committed to developing all-round cooperation with China, and will continue to unswervingly support China on issues concerning China's core interests such as those related to Xinjiang, Hong Kong and Taiwan. Belarus will continuously deepen bilateral and multilateral cooperation with China, and push Belarus-China relations to a higher level.
