On January 13, 2022, Assistant Foreign Minister Hua Chunying met with outgoing Senegalese Ambassador to China Mamadou Ndiaye.

Hua Chunying said, in recent years, the heads of state of China and Senegal have had close contacts, leading the high-level running of China-Senegal relations. As the co-chair of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation, Senegal has cooperated closely with China and made positive contributions to promoting the development of the forum and China-Africa relations. China highly appreciates Ambassador Ndiaye's great work in this regard, and hopes that Ndiaye will continue to care for and support the development of China-Senegal and China-Africa relations after returning to Senegal.

Ndiaye thanked China for its strong support for his performance of duties in China. Ndiaye said, since working in China for more than four years, he has witnessed with his own eyes that the Chinese people have made great development achievements under the leadership of the Communist Party of China, and Senegal-China relations have maintained a rapid development momentum.
