On October 10, 2022, Assistant Foreign Minister and Spokesperson Hua Chunying held China-Pakistan Foreign Ministry spokesperson consultations with Additional Secretary and Spokesperson of the Pakistani Ministry of Foreign Affairs Asim Iftikhar Ahmad via video link. The two sides exchanged views on such topics as China-Pakistan media exchanges, information release and public diplomacy, and agreed to strengthen communication and coordination in synergizing international communication strategies, coordinating information release, combating mis- and disinformation, among other things, so as to cultivate an increasingly favorable public opinion environment for the development of China-Pakistan relations and to jointly raise the voice of developing countries in international arena.

Ahmad wished the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC) a complete success and expressed the conviction that under the leadership of the CPC, China will embark on a brand new journey of economic and social development.
