Vice Foreign Minister Zhang Yesui Visits France

From December 4 to 6, 2017, Vice Foreign Minister Zhang Yesui visited France, during which he respectively met with Foreign Policy Advisor to the President Philippe Etienne, Secretary of State at the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs Jean-Baptiste Lemoyne and Secretary-General of the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs Maurice Gourdault-Montagne of France, exchanging views on bilateral relations and international and regional issues of common concern.

Zhang Yesui expressed that China-France relations are facing important historical opportunities at present, and enjoy broader development prospects. China is willing to, together with France, continuously deepen practical cooperation in various fields and enhance communication and coordination in international affairs, so as to promote China-France comprehensive strategic partnership for greater development.

The French side expressed that France attaches high importance to France-China relations, and is ready to further cement bilateral high-level exchanges, expand practical cooperation, jointly deal with global changes including climate change, and make efforts to safeguard world peace and stability.
