Currently, the COVID-19 has taken footholds in many places around the world and is rapidly spreading, which significantly increases the risk of external importation of the epidemic, and also seriously threatens the health and safety of overseas Chinese nationals.

Following the important instructions of General Secretary Xi Jinping for caring and helping overseas Chinese nationals and in accordance with the arrangements of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Chinese embassies and consulates overseas acted immediately to find ways to help the overseas compatriots affected by the epidemic, especially the majority of overseas Chinese students, to solve their practical difficulties such as shortage of protective kits. The embassies and consulates adapted to local conditions, collected materials for epidemic prevention, and distributed "health kits" to overseas Chinese students. They distributed masks, disinfection wipes, and preventive medicines that are urgently needed for epidemic prevention, so that overseas Chinese students could deeply feel the care of the Party and the motherland. The Chinese Embassy in Italy distributed "health kits" to Chinese students studying in the country through more than 40 Chinese students and scholars associations in Italy, and actively provided them with assistance to solve their actual difficulties and for their urgent needs. The Chines Embassy in France raised tens of thousands of ordinary medical masks and other materials in a short period of time and distributed them to more than 60 Chinese students and scholars associations in France and to the mutual aid groups. The Chinese Embassies in Saudi Arabia, Tajikistan, Canada, Sweden, Poland, the Republic of Korea, Singapore, Pakistan, Egypt, Greece and other countries mobilized epidemic prevention materials and distributed them to local Chinese students in a timely manner to guide them to prevent and control the epidemic.

Overseas Chinese students thanked the Party and the country for their care, and said that they will do a good job of self-protection and reassure their loved ones in the motherland with their own safety.
