The charity sale, initiated by Qian Wei, wife of State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi, is hosted by the MFA and the CFPA and co-organized by the Foreign Affairs Office of the People's Government of Beijing Municipality and the People's Government of Chaoyang District. This year, China has achieved comprehensive success in poverty alleviation and all-round progress in rural revitalization. At a new starting point, this charity sale is themed with "Love Knows No Borders - Rural Revitalization, Health First". The opening ceremony will be held both online and offline in Beijing at 10 a.m. on December 18. State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi and his wife, Qian Wei, together with foreign diplomatic envoys to China as well as representatives from sponsoring enterprises will be present.

Given the COVID-19 prevention and control requirements, online sale and live commerce will be adopted again this year. The online charity sale will be launched on the webpage themed with "Offering Assistance through Consuming Products of Poverty Alleviation Flagship Store" set up on Tmall and last for one week from 11 a.m. on December 18. The live commerce will be held on the evening of December 18.
