On July 31, 2023, Director-General of the Department of North American and Oceanian Affairs of the Foreign Ministry Yang Tao held work consultations in Washington, D.C. with U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for East Asian and Pacific Affairs Daniel J. Kritenbrink and White House National Security Council's Senior Director for China Affairs Sarah Beran. The two sides had a candid, in-depth and constructive exchange of views on China-U.S. relations and international and regional issues of mutual interest and concern.
