On May 20, 2018, Vice Foreign Minister Le Yucheng attended at invitation the gathering for old friends of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) which was held at the SCO Secretariat and exchanged views with foreign representatives who were present on the preparatory work for the SCO Qingdao Summit. SCO Secretary-General Rashid Alimov, ambassadors from the SCO member states to China including Russian Ambassador to China Andrey Denisov, Kazakh Ambassador to China Shakhrat Nuryshev and Kyrgyz Ambassador to China Azamat Usenov, as well as some former Chinese ambassadors to Eurasian countries including the first SCO Secretary-General Zhang Deguang attended the activity.
