Ambassador Zhong Jianhua, Special Representative of the Chinese Government on African Affairs, Attends African Conference of The Crans Montana Forum

From March 20 to 21, 2014, Ambassador Zhong Jianhua, the Special Representative of the Chinese government on African Affairs, attended the Africa & South-South Cooperation Conference of the Crans Montana Forum in Brussels upon invitation, and delivered a keynote speech titled "China's role in Africa's Development". He met with Nick Westcott, Managing Director for Africa in the European External Action Service (EEAS) of EU, and Alexander Rondos, the EU Special Representative to the Horn of Africa. They discussed the situation in South Sudan, the relations between South and North Sudan, Somalia and other hot-spot issues in Africa. He met with local scholars, gave interviews to local TV stations, briefing on China-Africa relations and China-Africa cooperation.
