On March 4, 2010, Chinese Foreign Minister Yang Jiechi met with Macao SAR Chief Executive Fernando Chui Sai On. Both sides exchanged views on how to do a good job in Macao-related diplomatic work and push the SAR to conduct foreign exchanges under the new situation. Yang said that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will continue going all out to support the SAR to expand foreign exchanges and cooperation and raise its international profile. The Chief Executive Fernando Chui Sai On thanked for the long-standing positive support the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and its Commissioner's Office in Macao have offered to the SAR for its foreign exchanges and for protection of the legitimate rights and interests of the Macao compatriots abroad, pledging to further enhance communication and cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the future.
