On March 8, 2012, Foreign Minister Yang Jiechi met with Chief Executive of the Macau Special Administrative Region (SAR) Chui Sai On in Beijing. Yang congratulated on the enormous achievements Macau has made in all aspects since its return 12 years ago and thanked the government of the Macao Special Administrative Regions (SAR) for its support for the work of the Foreign Ministry and the Commissioner's Office. He pledged that the Foreign Ministry will as always support Macao SAR in expanding its external exchanges and cooperation and create a favorable external environment for the SAR's long-term prosperity, stability and development. Chief Executive Chui Sai On thanked the Foreign Ministry and the Commissioner's Office for their long-standing and strong support for the SAR government, vowing to further enhance contacts with the Foreign Ministry in the future.
