On April 3, 2023, Vice Foreign Minister Ma Zhaoxu met with Deputy Director General of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) Wang Binying, who was in China for the Boao Forum for Asia Annual Conference 2023. The two sides exchanged views on the cooperation between China and the WIPO and other issues.

Ma Zhaoxu said that innovation will remain at the heart of China's modernization drive. This year marks the 50th anniversary of cooperation between China and the WIPO. China stands ready to take this opportunity to further deepen practical cooperation between the two sides and take bilateral relations to a new level.

Wang Binying spoke highly of China's achievements in the development of intellectual property cause, thanked China for its support for the WIPO's work, and looked forward to further strengthening exchanges and cooperation with China.
