Director-General of the Department of International Organizations and Conferences of the Foreign Ministry Li Junhua Holds a Group Meeting with Representatives from Various Countries to China for the Seminar on Affairs of the United Nations (UN) Security Council

On August 3, 2018, Director-General of the Department of International Organizations and Conferences of the Foreign Ministry Li Junhua held a group meeting with representatives from various countries to China for the Seminar on Affairs of the United Nations (UN) Security Council. It is the third consecutive time for China to hold the Seminar on Affairs of the UN Security Council. Diplomatic officers from Belgium, Indonesia, Germany, South Africa and other newly-elected non-permanent members of the UN Security Council for 2019 to 2020, and former senior officials responsible for political, legal and other affairs at the UN Secretariat were present. Representatives attending the seminar carried out in-depth exchanges and discussions centering on such topics as the current situation facing the UN Security Council, major international and regional hotspot issues, and rules of procedure of the UN Security Council. The representatives present also went to the Peacekeeping Center of Ministry of National Defense of China and China Institutes of Contemporary International Relations for visits and exchanges.
