China and France Hold 4th China-France Cyber Dialogue

On June 14 and 15,2022, Mr.Wang Lei, Coordinator for Cyber Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China and Mr. Henri Verdier, Ambassador for Digital Affairs of the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs of France co-chaired the 4th China-France Cyber Dialogue via video link. Competent authorities of both China and France were also present at the dialogue. The two sides had an in-depth exchange of views on current situation on cyber and digital security, respective policies and legal frameworks, bilateral cooperation, international processes and other relevant topics of mutual interest. The two sides agreed that the international community should stay in solidarity, oppose division of the Internet, uphold multilateralism, safeguard peace and stability of cyberspace, and jointly promote an open and inclusive international process. This dialogue helped the two sides to enhance mutual understanding expand the scope of bilateral pragmatic cooperation, and facilitate the development of China-France and China-EU relations.
