On 18 October 2022, Mr. Wang Lei, Coordinator for Cyber Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China, paid a courtesy call on Mr. Joseph Leong Weng Keong, Permanent Secretary of Ministry of Communications and Information, and Permanent Secretary on Cybersecurity of Prime Minister’s Office of Singapore on the sidelines of the Singapore International Cyber Week. The two sides exchanged views on furthering bilateral cooperation in cyber and digital realm. They both agreed that against the backdrop of  complex geopolitical environment  and downward pressure on the global economy, it is essential for the two countries to enhance  cooperation, grasp opportunities of digital development and bring more benefits to people of the two countries.
