Establishing Nuclear-Weapon-Free zone or WMD-Free zone in the Middle East is conducive to building up mutual trust among the countries in the region, improving the regional situation and realizing the lasting peace of the Middle East. Proceeding from this position, the Chinese Government consistently supports the efforts of countries concerned to establish Nuclear-Weapon-Free zone or WMD-Free zone in the Middle East, and has actively supported the relevant resolutions of the UN General Assembly.
