External Security Commissioner of the Foreign Ministry Cheng Guoping Meets with Russian Ambassador to China Andrey Denisov

On November 10, 2021, External Security Commissioner of the Foreign Ministry Cheng Guoping met with Russian Ambassador to China Andrey Denisov. Both sides exchanged in-depth views on China-Russia relations, bilateral cooperation on counter-terrorism and security, and relevant international and regional issues.

Cheng Guoping said, China-Russia comprehensive strategic partnership of coordination for a new era is now at its best and continues to be lifted to higher levels, with fruitful dialogue, exchanges and cooperation across all fields. China is willing to work with Russia to fully implement the important consensus reached by the two heads of state, deepen strategic communication and practical cooperation in such fields as counter-terrorism and security, coordinate and cooperate with each other closely in international and regional affairs, and jointly maintain world peace and stability.

Denisov noted, Russia and China have seen frequent high-level interactions. The two heads of state have held several video meetings or phone conversations this year, providing strategic guidance for strategic collaboration and all-round cooperation between both sides. Russia is willing to maintain high-level exchanges and exchanges at all levels with China, deepen coordination and cooperation in counter-terrorism, security and other fields, and make concerted efforts to tackle regional and global security challenges.
