The Department of Treaty and Law of the Foreign Ministry and the Secretariat for Administration and Justice of the Macao Special Administrative Region (SAR) Government Hold Annual Consultation on the Macao-related Diplomatic Treaty and Law Work

On November 29, 2018, Director-General of the Department of Treaty and Law of the Foreign Ministry Xu Hong and Secretary of the Secretariat for Administration and Justice of the Macao Special Administrative Region (SAR) Government Chen Haifan held annual consultation on Macao-related diplomatic treaty and law work in Macao. Representatives of the Secretariat for Administration and Justice, the Secretariat for Economy and Finance, the Secretariat for Security and other Secretariats of the Macao SAR Government, and relevant staff of the Office of the Commissioner of the Foreign Ministry in the Macao SAR attended the consultation. Both sides exchanged views on the new situation, new challenges and future direction of Macao-related diplomatic treaty and law work, and conducted in-depth exchanges of views on the Macao SAR's signing of bilateral agreements and judicial cooperation with countries and regions outside and other topics.

On November 30, Director-General Xu Hong delivered a report at invitation titled on the current international situation and hotspot issues of international law for civil servants of the Macao SAR, and had discussions with representatives of law circle in the Macao SAR on the legal guarantee for the Macao SAR's participation in the Belt and Road Initiative.
