On March 1, 2019, Vice Foreign Minister and Secretary-General of the Secretariat for China-Central and Eastern European Countries (CEEC) Cooperation Wang Chao co-chaired in Zagreb the 13th National Coordinators' Meeting for Cooperation between China and CEEC with State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of Croatia and National Coordinator for China-CEEC Cooperation Zdravka Bušić. National coordinators or representatives of the CEEC were present. Representatives of Austria, Belarus, Switzerland, Greece and the European Union attended the meeting as observers.

The meeting reviewed the implementation of the Sofia Guidelines for Cooperation between China and Central and Eastern European Countries. Attendees mainly exchanged in-depth views on preparations for the 8th China-CEEC Summit and relevant work plans for China-CEEC cooperation in the next phase.
