2010/09/28

On September 27, 2010, Vice Foreign Minister Fu Ying met in the Foreign Ministry with visiting delegation of the Norwegian Parliament's Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee. Both sides made positive remarks about China-Norway relations and expressed willingness to further deepen the bilateral mutually beneficial cooperation in various fields.

Fu introduced the development achievements China has made since the launch of reform and opening-up more than 30 years ago and stressed that China treats the dialectic relations between the expansion of economic size and per capita GDP. He expressed disagreement upon the concept of G2 and noted that China will continue to make contributions to maintaining world peace and development. The Chinese government has made huge efforts to maintain social stability, promote national development and guarantee the rights and interests of its people, which should be recognized and evaluated objectively by the west.

At request, he also introduced China-US relations and China-Japan relations.
