Special Envoy of President Xi Jinping Li Bin Meets with Mauritanian President-elect and Attends His Inauguration Ceremony

On August 2 local time, the newly-elected President Mohamed Ould Abdel Aziz of Mauritania met with Minister of the National Health and Family Planning Commission Li Bin, Special Envoy of President Xi Jinping, at the Presidential Palace in Mauritania.

Li Bin conveyed the sincere greetings and best wishes from President Xi Jinping to Mohamed Ould Abdel Aziz. Li Bin expressed that President Xi Jinping attaches importance to developing friendly and cooperative relations with Mauritania and China stands ready to join efforts with the Mauritanian side to further enhance exchanges at various levels and to expand practical cooperation, so as to promote the China-Mauritania friendly and cooperative relations for comprehensive and in-depth development. It is believed that under the personal caring for and common promotion of the leaders of the two countries, the China-Mauritania relations will definitely usher in a brighter future.

Mohamed Ould Abdel Aziz expressed his gratitude to President Xi Jinping for sending Special Envoy to attend his inauguration ceremony and asked Li Bin to convey his sincere greetings to President Xi Jinping. Mohamed Ould Abdel Aziz said that the Mauritania-China friendly relations enjoy a time-honored history. The Mauritanian side is sincerely grateful to China for its long-term support and assistance to Mauritania and is willing to work with China to comprehensively deepen friendly cooperation in various fields and to push the bilateral relations for continuous development.

Li Bin also attended the inauguration ceremony of President Mohamed Ould Abdel Aziz.
