Assistant Foreign Minister Deng Li Meets with Egyptian Ambassador to China Mohamed El Badry

On September 23, 2020, Assistant Foreign Minister Deng Li met with Egyptian Ambassador to China Mohamed El Badry. The two sides exchanged views on China-Egypt relations and issues of common concern.

Deng Li said, under the personal leadership of President Xi Jinping and President Abdel-Fattah al-Sisi, China-Egypt relations have achieved substantial progress in recent years. The Chinese side attaches great importance to developing the comprehensive strategic partnership with the Egyptian side, and is willing to continue to strengthen bilateral cooperation in all fields and enhance coordination and cooperation in regional and international affairs with the Egyptian side, to promote greater development of China-Egypt relations.

Mohamed El Badry spoke highly of the traditional friendship and cooperation in various fields between Egypt and China. He stressed, the Egyptian side attaches great importance to developing its relations with China, and is ready to enhance strategic cooperation between the two sides, step up communication and coordination in regional and international issues, and jointly uphold the international law and basic norms governing international relations.
