Vice Foreign Minister Luo Zhaohui Meets with Outgoing Mongolian Ambassador to China Damba Gankhuyag

On July 24, 2020, Vice Foreign Minister Luo Zhaohui met with outgoing Mongolian Ambassador to China Damba Gankhuyag.

Luo Zhaohui fully affirmed Damba Gankhuyag's contributions to boosting the development of China-Mongolia relations during his tenure as Ambassador to China for more than four years, and hoped that he will continue to care for and support China-Mongolia relations after leaving his post. Luo Zhaohui emphasized that the Chinese side attaches great importance to developing its relations with Mongolia. President Khaltmaa Battulga of Mongolia visited China in late February this year when the epidemic situation in China was severe, which reflects his kindness towards the Chinese people. President Khaltmaa Battulga also kindly presented China with 30,000 sheep. Going forward, the two sides should further plan high-level exchanges, strengthen cooperation on major projects of anti-pandemic work and under the Belt and Road Initiative, deepen non-governmental exchanges, and enhance coordination and cooperation on international and regional issues.

Damba Gankhuyag thanked the Chinese side for the valuable support during his fulfillment of duties in China, and noted, I have witnessed great changes in China during my two terms of office in China and fully admire China. I am proud that I have done some work for the development of Mongolia-China relations. After returning to Mongolia, I will continue to care for and promote Mongolia-China relations and stand ready to work together with the Chinese side to promote the comprehensive development of bilateral relations. It is believed that Mongolia-China comprehensive strategic partnership will be surely elevated to new highs.
