On September 26, 2020, Director-General of the Policy Planning Department of the Foreign Ministry Liu Jinsong attended the 2020 "H7 SUMMIT" for Hospital Management and delivered a speech titled "great changes, diplomacy, and great health".

Liu Jinsong first paid tribute to the medical teams sent to aid Wuhan and other countries amid COVID-19. Liu Jinsong said, the world is undergoing major changes unseen in a century, as the global balance of power, major-country relations, international order, trend of world development, science and technology and climate are going through profound changes. At the moment, globalization is facing headwinds, and unilateralism and bullying acts are on the rise. Particularly, some major countries have withdrawn from international organizations and agreements, violated international laws and the basic norms governing international relations, and even attempted to drag the world into confrontation and conflict. This attempt is doomed to fail. Liu Jinsong stressed, President Xi Jinping has advocated for building a global community of health for all at the Virtual Event of Opening of the 73rd World Health Assembly, put forth four proposals at the G20 Extraordinary Virtual Leaders' Summit on COVID-19, and stated that "The virus will be defeated. Humanity will win this battle!" at the General Debate of the 75th Session of the United Nations General Assembly, which received extensive recognition from the international community. Facts have proved that solidarity in fighting against the pandemic is the right path and the building of a community with a shared future for mankind is the voice of the times.

The "H7 SUMMIT" for Hospital Management was initiated by seven renowned A-rate tertiary public hospitals including Beijing Hospital and co-hosted by Health News Co., Ltd. This year Beijing Hospital assumes the rotating presidency of the summit. Over 300 people attended the summit, including the directors of the seven hospitals and the front-line medical staff in the fight against COVID-19.
