The Treaty Database of the People’s Republic of China is scheduled to be launched and open to the public for free on January 1, 2019. The database will be put into trial operation first for half a year to July 1, 2019, and then it will be officially put into operation.

The establishment of the treaty database is an important measure of the Foreign Ministry to improve treaty management level, conduct diplomacy for the people and serve the construction of the Belt and Road Initiative. The database includes important bilateral and multilateral treaties China has concluded with foreign countries since the founding of the People’s Republic of China. The public can download texts of treaties and inquire about treaty information from the database, and make relevant inquiries by telephone and email.
