External Security Commissioner of the Foreign Ministry Cheng Guoping Meets with Pakistani Ambassador to China Moin Ul Haque

On November 19, 2021, External Security Commissioner of the Foreign Ministry Cheng Guoping met with Pakistani Ambassador to China Moin Ul Haque, and exchanged views on issues such as China-Pakistan relations, counter-terrorism and security cooperation between the two countries, and related international and regional issues.

Cheng Guoping said, China and Pakistan are all-weather strategic cooperative partners. The two countries enjoy close high-level exchanges, and expand and deepen mutually beneficial cooperation. The building of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) has delivered fruitful outcomes, and is entering the stage of high-quality development. Taking the 70th anniversary of the establishment of China-Pakistan diplomatic relations this year as an opportunity, the two countries have carried out a series of celebration events, further consolidating and developing the traditional friendship. China stands ready to work with Pakistan to implement the important consensus reached by the two leaders, continue to advance cooperation in fields such as counter-terrorism and security, build an even closer China-Pakistan community with a shared future and deliver greater benefits to the two countries and two peoples.

Haque congratulated on the success of the sixth plenary session of the 19th CPC Central Committee. Pakistan-China friendship has deeply rooted in the hearts of the people, and has grown stronger with new vitality as time goes by. The two countries staunchly support each other on issues concerning respective core interests. Pakistan is willing to work with China to enhance strategic coordination, deepen cooperation in fields such as counter-terrorism and security, ensure the building of the CPEC, and maintain the security and stability of the two countries and the region.
