On November 24, 2021, Director-General of the Department of Asian Affairs of the Foreign Ministry Liu Jinsong, upon invitation, attended the farewell reception for Indian Ambassador to China Vikram Misri and had friendly talks with Vikram Misri and his wife.

Vikram Misri expressed his gratitude for China's assistance during his tenure and expressed his willingness to continuously contribute to the development of India-China relations.
