On September 2, 2022, Director-General of the Department of External Security Affairs of the Foreign Ministry Bai Tian and Lao Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Phoxay Khaykhamphithoune co-hosted a video conference on the security work of China-Laos Belt and Road cooperation projects. Both sides had an in-depth exchange of views focusing on the safe operation of the China-Laos Railway. After the conference, the two sides conducted a joint video inspection of the China-Laos Railway security work.
