On September 8, 2022, Vice Foreign Minister Deng Li held a China-Israel Political Consultation at Vice Foreign Ministerial Level with Director-General of the Israeli Foreign Ministry Alon Ushpiz via video link.

Deng Li noted that for the past 30 years since the establishment of China-Israel diplomatic relations, especially since the establishment of innovative comprehensive partnership in 2017, bilateral relations have made great progress and practical cooperation in various fields has reached a new height. China is ready to work with Israel to implement the important consensus reached by the leaders of the two countries, strengthen political exchanges, advance practical cooperation, expand people-to-people and cultural exchanges and promote further development of the China-Israel innovative comprehensive partnership.

Ushpiz said that Israel attaches great importance to relations with China, firmly supports the one-China principle and looks forward to tapping cooperation potential with China, expanding exchanges at all levels, deepening cooperation in economy, trade, innovation, agriculture, health and other fields, and pushing for greater development in China-Israel relations.

The two sides also exchanged views on regional and international hotspot issues.
