On November 17, 2022, Assistant Foreign Minister Wu Jianghao met with the newly-appointed Russian Ambassador to China Igor Morgulov.

Wu Jianghao welcomed Igor Morgulov assuming his new post at the time of the successful conclusion of the 20th CPC National Congress. They exchanged views on the situations in the Asia-Pacific region, regional cooperation and other issues of mutual interest and concern. They agreed to strengthen communication and coordination, to jointly safeguard the peace and stability in the Asia-Pacific region and to promote development and prosperity.
