Vice Foreign Minister Xie Feng Meets Respectively with President Stephen A. Orlins and Former President John L. Holden of the National Committee on United States-China Relations

On March 23, 2023, Vice Foreign Minister Xie Feng met at request with Stephen A. Orlins, President of the National Committee on United States-China Relations (NCUSCR), and John L. Holden, Former President of the NCUSCR and Managing Director of McLarty Associates, respectively. The two sides exchanged views on China-US relations and issues of mutual interest and concern.

In light of China’s Two Sessions, Vice Foreign Minister Xie Feng elaborated on China’s domestic and foreign policies and China’s principled position on developing China-US relations, and emphasized that China maintains clear and stable policies and guidelines, enjoys robust economic recovery, and will unswervingly advance high-standard opening up and firmly pursue a path of peaceful development. He expressed his hope that the US side will make positive efforts to promote mutually beneficial cooperation and personnel exchanges between China and the US and bring China-US relations back on the right track.
