China Holds Foreign Policy Consultations Respectively with Italy, Serbia and Russia

From April 21 to 27, 2023, Director-General of the Department of Policy Planning of the Foreign Ministry Miao Deyu visited Rome, Belgrade, and Moscow, during which he held a China-Italy foreign policy consultation with Director General for Political Affairs and Security of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Italy Pasquale Ferrara, a China-Serbia foreign policy consultation with Deputy Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs of Serbia Aleksandar Janković, and a China-Russia foreign policy consultation with Director-General of the Foreign Policy Planning Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia Alexey Drobinin. Miao Deyu exchanged in-depth views with each party on international and regional situations, respective foreign policies, and other issues of mutual interest and concern.

During the consultations, First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Serbia Ivica Dačić met with Miao Deyu. Miao Deyu also led a delegation to visit the Institute of International Affairs and the European Research Institute in Italy, and held talks with scholars of the Centre for Comprehensive European and International Studies of the Higher School of Economics of Russia.
