On November 11, 2015, Vice Foreign Minister Cheng Guoping and Deputy Foreign Minister Askar Mussinov of Kazakhstan co-chaired in Beijing the consultations between the two Foreign Ministries as well as the 8th session of the Security Cooperation Subcommittee of the China-Kazakhstan Cooperation Committee, exchanging in-depth views on bilateral relations, high-level mutual visits, cooperation in major areas, Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), Conference on Interaction and Confidence-Building Measures in Asia (CICA) and international hotspot issues. Both sides agreed that as the international and regional situations are undergoing complex and profound changes, China and Kazakhstan need to further enhance strategic coordination, deepen cooperation in all areas and safeguard common interests.
