Vice Foreign Minister Wang Chao and Secretary General Dagfinn Høybråten of the Nordic Council of Ministers Hold Consultation on China-Nordic Cooperation

On November 23, 2018, Vice Foreign Minister Wang Chao and Secretary General Dagfinn Høybråten of the Nordic Council of Ministers held a new round of consultation on China-Nordic cooperation in Beijing. Both sides exchanged views on the progress of China-Nordic cooperation and the planning for next phase.

Wang Chao expressed that since the first consultation held by the two sides last year, relations between China and Nordic countries have maintained a rapid and stable development momentum, and China-Nordic cooperation has achieved positive progress. Both sides should ride the tide, focus on the future, and continue advancing cooperation in such key areas as starting and doing business, sustainable development, scientific research and education, people-to-people and cultural exchanges, and social welfare, so as to constantly elevate China-Nordic cooperation to new stages.

Dagfinn Høybråten expressed that relations between Nordic countries and China enjoy comprehensive development, with smooth advancement in Nordic-China cooperation, presenting the sound momentum of common prosperity. Attaching great importance to developing cooperation with China, the Secretariat of the Nordic Council of Ministers stands ready to make joint efforts with the Chinese side to promote Nordic-China cooperation for more outcomes.
