Vice Foreign Minister Wang Chao Chairs the 12th National Coordinators' Meeting for Cooperation Between China and Central and Eastern European Countries (CEEC)

On December 18, 2018, Vice Foreign Minister and Secretary-General of the Secretariat for China-Central and Eastern European Countries (CEEC) Cooperation ("16+1 cooperation") Wang Chao chaired the 12th National Coordinators' Meeting for the "16+1 Cooperation" in Beijing. National coordinators or representatives of the 16 CEEC attended the meeting, and representatives of Austria, Belarus, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, the European Union, Greece and Switzerland attended the meeting as observers.

The meeting comprehensively reviewed the positive progress in the "16+1 cooperation" since the 7th Summit of Heads of Government of China and the CEEC and the implementation situation of the Budapest Guidelines for Cooperation between China and Central and Eastern European Countries. Both sides also exchanged in-depth views on relevant visions on advancing the "16+1 cooperation" in the next stage.

(The 16 Central and Eastern European Countries are Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Macedonia, Montenegro, Poland, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia and Slovenia.)
