Kong Xuanyou expressed that at present, China-Indonesia relations enjoy a sound development momentum. Last November, President Xi Jinping and President Joko Widodo held a meeting again on the sidelines of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation Economic Leaders' Meeting, reaching new important consensus on deepening the integration of the Belt and Road Initiative and the Global Maritime Fulcrum vision, promoting practical cooperation and strengthening coordination in international and regional affairs. Premier Li Keqiang paid an official visit to Indonesia last May, achieving fruitful achievements. The conducting of all-round cooperation between China and Indonesia, two major developing countries and emerging economies, carries important significance for regional and world peace and stability. It is necessary for both sides to keep regular communication, so as to push comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries for greater development.

Desra Percaya expressed that the Indonesian government sees China as an important cooperation partner, highly values its relations with China, firmly adheres to the one-China policy and actively supports the Belt and Road Initiative. Last year, the two countries made positive progress in cooperation in various areas, which is encouraging. Indonesia will continuously regard its relations with China as a priority in its external exchanges, enhance coordination and cooperation in regional and international affairs with the Chinese side, jointly cope with the difficulties and challenges facing the current international situation, and maintain the sound development momentum of the two countries and the region.

Both sides agreed to jointly well implement the important consensus reached by the leaders of both countries, strengthen high-level exchanges, promote key projects such as Jakarta-Bandung high-speed railway and the regional comprehensive economic corridors, and deepen cooperation in such areas as economy and trade, law enforcement security and people-to-people and cultural engagement, so as to bring more benefits to the two peoples.

Both sides also made in-depth exchanges of views on the relations between China and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations as well as international and regional issues of common concern.
