President Xi Jinping Appoints New Ambassadors

Recently, President Xi Jinping of the People's Republic of China announced the appointment of the following new Ambassadors in line with decisions adopted by the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress(NPC):

1. Yi Xianliang was appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka, replacing Wu Jianghao.

2. La Yifan was appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, replacing Xie Xiaoyan.

3. Zhuo Ruisheng was appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to the Republic of Burundi, replacing Yu Xuzhong.

4. Kuang Weilin was appointed Head of the Diplomatic Mission and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to the African Union.

5. Jiang Yu (female) was appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of Chinato the Republic of Albania, replacing Ye Hao.

6. Ye Hao was appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to the Republic of Slovenia, replacing Zhang Xianyi.

7. Zhang Ping was appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to the Republic of the Fiji Islands, replacing Huang Yong.

8. Fu Cong was appointed Deputy Permanent Representative of the People's Republic of China to the United Nations Office at Geneva and other international organizations in Switzerland and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary for Disarmament Affairs, replacing Wu Haitao.
