President Xi Jinping Appoints New Ambassadors

Recently, President of the People's Republic of China Xi Jinping announced the appointment of the following new Ambassadors in line with decisions adopted by the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress:

I. Wang Wentian was appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to the Lao People's Democratic Republic, replacing Guan Huabing.

II. Sun Gongyi was appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to the Republic of Mauritius, replacing Li Li.

III. Li Li was appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to the Kingdom of Morocco, replacing Sun Shuzhong.

IV. Zhang Yiming was appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to the Republic of Namibia, replacing Qiu Xuejun.

V. Lin Songtian was appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to the Republic of South Africa, replacing Tian Xuejun.

VI. Gui Congyou was appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to the Kingdom of Sweden, replacing Chen Yuming.

VII. Liang Yu was appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to the Plurinational State of Bolivia, replacing Wu Yuanshan.
