On November 28, 2024, Special Envoy on Afghan Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Yue Xiaoyong met with Regional Director for Asia Pacific Alexander Matheou of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies in Beijing. The two sides had an exchange of views on the current humanitarian situation in Afghanistan and had exchanges on helping Afghanistan alleviate livelihood difficulties and promote reconstruction and development.
