From March 11 to 20, 2025, Special Envoy on Afghan Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Yue Xiaoyong visited Pakistan, Iran and Qatar. He met with relevant officials of the three countries respectively and had an exchange of views on Afghanistan-related affairs of common interest and concern. During his stay in Qatar, Yue Xiaoyong also met with Ambassador of Afghanistan to Qatar Suhail Shaheen and Special Representative for Afghanistan at the U.S. Department of State Karen B. Decker.
