On July 29, 2024, Ms. Yan Jiarong, Chinese Ambassador to The Bahamas paid a courtesy call on the Hon. Isaac Chester Cooper, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Tourism, Investment and Aviation.

 Ms. Yan briefed the significance and main achievements of the Third Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee, and discussed with Mr. Cooper on how to strengthen cooperation between the two countries in the areas of tourism, civil aviation and green investment. Both sides agreed that the development of China-Bahamas relations is sound and the prospects for cooperation are broad. The two countries should further align their development strategies, deepen practical cooperation in various fields and benefit the people of both countries.
