On 6th August 2024, Ms. Yan Jiarong, newly appointed Chinese Ambassador to The Bahamas paid a courtesy call on the Hon. Mr. Fred Mitchell, Minister of Foreign Affairs of The Bahamas.

Both sides appreciated the healthy and stable momentum of China-Bahamas relations, and agreed to strengthen mutual political trust and high-level exchanges, deepen practical cooperation and people-to-people exchange between the two countries, and promote China-Bahamas relations for continued mutually beneficial outcomes.
